Hear From Our Patients

All of the pediatric hospitals in downtown Boston can tell you that they have some world’s top experts available to provide exceptional specialty care for children. At Tufts Medical Center at Tufts Medical Center, our skilled physicians aren’t the only thing that makes us special. It’s our staff’s deep level of caring for your child and your entire family that truly sets us apart.

We could tell you all of the reasons why we’re so great, but we know that sometimes it’s best to hear from the families who have actually been here and seen our care in action, first-hand.

“My daughter Grace has been getting all of her care at Tufts Medical Center since 2017. We came to Tufts Medical Center after we had a bad experience at another local children’s hospital, where Grace was diagnosed very late with infantile spasms. Now Grace is three years old, and with the help of all her doctors at Tufts Medical Center, she’s gone from having over 100 seizures a day to none.

Grace is followed by many different specialists at Tufts Medical Center including neurology, GI, ophthalmology, ENT and orthopedics. Every time she’s there, she has the same care team of nurses who take wonderful care of her, and they even fight over her! The doctors are all amazing and are always looking out for Grace’s best interest. Dr. Gaitanis will even call me at 9:00 at night to see how Grace is doing.

We live in New Bedford and it’s hard to work when Grace is sick, so our social worker Rachel gives us gas cards to help with our transportation costs. My husband and I have two other children, so she also signed our family up for the Joy of Giving program over the past two holiday seasons. We got so many gifts from Tufts Medical Center, and we are so thankful. If I ever need anything, I’ll call Rachel and she’ll be there. I don’t have anything other than great things to say about Tufts Medical Center!”
