Pediatric Primary Care

General Pediatrics Clinic

Primary care visits should be scheduled at least one month in advance, to ensure that you can see your own primary care doctor. If you need a check-up sooner, you can, of course, see another member of the practice. You should arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment, so that all the required paperwork can be done before the visit. For a healthy child, there are generally six well child visits in the first year, three in the second year, and then a yearly visit after age 2 through adolescence.

What we offer:

  • Routine checkups
  • School, camp and sports physicals
  • Care for acute health problems
  • Management of chronic conditions
  • Sick visits
  • Developmental and behavioral assessments
  • Assistance with school problems
  • Referrals to subspecialists when needed
  • Coordination of hospital and specialty care when needed
  • Easy access to laboratory and radiology testing
  • Interpreter services
  • Multidisciplinary team to support your needs
  • Integrated behavioral health
  • Academic institution pediatric residents and medical students

Same Day Sick Visits

For non-emergency situations, we can see your child the same day, or give advice to help your sick child without a visit. We encourage parents to call ahead Monday through Saturday for an appointment. Same-day visits may be with our resident physicians, working closely with your child’s regular provider and colleagues.

Saturday Sick Visits

The weekend can be very long if your child is not feeling well; that’s why we offer appointments to care for sick children from 9 am–1 pm every Saturday as well as access to phone coverage all weekend long. This is not a walk in clinic, so it is important you speak with a nurse or the on call provider first.

We now also offer visits via telehealth, which means we will schedule a visit through a video platform to see your child or adolescent from your home.
