"Growing up is hard to do; let us make it easier!"

Hosted by Dr. Deanna Lau and the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship, this symposium prepares providers (those taking care of children or adults) to help their patients with neurodevelopmental differences transition to adulthood with confidence. Speakers include:

  • Elaine Gabovitch, Director of Massachusetts Department of Public Health Division of Children and Youth with Special Health Needs
  • Margaret Van Gelder, Statewide Director of Family Support at the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services
  • Adam Geyer, clinical social worker at the Center for Children with Special Needs to speak about Guardianship
  • Wesley White and Kerry White, to give a patient family perspective on the transition in care and what is most important that they wishes providers (adult and pediatric) knew.
