Hospitalists are medical specialists who, rather than specializing in a particular area of the body, focus on giving you or your child the best possible care during a hospital stay.
Most physicians spend only a fraction of their time in a hospital setting, but that's where we spend all our time. We have all the resources available at Tufts Medical Center right at our fingertips. That means we can quickly connect you with specialists, support groups and other services to help you or your child feel better faster.
Our hospital care services include:
- 24/7 availability to answer questions or address concerns
- Coordination with specialists and other hospital-based health care providers, such as pharmacists, physical therapists or nutritionists
- Daily meetings with you and your or your child's care team
Special Support for Children & Families
In the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at Tufts Medical Center, all of our hospitalists are also board-certified pediatricians. We're with you every step of the way while your child is in the hospital. In addition, we work closely with your trusted family pediatrician to ensure your child gets the right care at all times.
