Keeping kids and families safe
It’s our priority to keep our pediatric patients and visitors safe and secure. In fact, public safety officers patrol Tufts Medical Center 24 hours a day. Here’s how we keep you safe.
Protecting entrances
All entrances, including the parking garage entrance on the 3rd floor connector, are locked after 8 p.m. For your safety, we ask that visitors please use the Emergency Department entrance, located at 830 Washington Street, for all after-hours arrivals.
All pediatric units are locked at all times. To enter, please ring the doorbell at the entrance of the unit and let staff know who you are and whom you are visiting.
Safeguarding valuables
Patients are encouraged to leave all valuables at home. Patients wishing to secure valuables during their stay may do so by requesting that medical staff contact Public Safety. Public Safety has a property protocol in place and a facility for storage.
