Carl Heilman MD is the Neurosurgeon-in-Chief at Tufts Medical Center. He is a Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery. Internationally renowned for neurosurgical excellence, Dr. Heilman specializes in surgery for skull base tumors, pituitary tumors, meningiomas, schwannomas and Chiari 1 malformations. He has served as the President of the North American Skull Base Surgery Society, the Society of University Neurosurgeons, the Boston Society of Neurology and Psychiatry, and the New England Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Heilman is board certified in Neurosurgery.
