Dr. Daniel Sun is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. His clinical practice focuses on treating hip and knee arthritis and working together with his patients to find the best solution to achieve their goals. Dr. Sun specializes in primary and complex hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, as well as surgery for failed hip and knee replacements, known as "revision surgery".

Dr. Sun received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California at San Diego before receiving his medical degree from the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Sun subsequently completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and a hip preservation fellowship at Inselspital Hospital in Bern, Switzerland. He then continued his training as an Otto E. Aufranc Adult Reconstruction Fellow at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA.

Dr. Sun has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has presented his research at regional and national meetings. He serves as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty. In his free time, Dr. Sun enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
