Scott Gilbert, MD, Director of the Nephrology fellowship program, continues to receive education honors.
The Massachusetts Medical Society awarded Dr. Scott Gilbert the 2018 Grant V. Rodkey, MD Award for Outstanding Contributions to Medical Education. This annual award is presented to a physician who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the education and welfare of medical students and who has made significant contributions to medical students, both in the hospital and in organized medicine.
Dr. Gilbert is being installed as a member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine’s (AAIM) Association of Subspecialty Professors Council.
The AAIM is a consortium of five academically focused specialty organizations (Association of Professors of Medicine, the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine, the Association of Subspecialty Professors, the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine, and the Administrators of Internal Medicine) representing departments of internal medicine at medical schools and teaching hospitals in the United States and Canada. Through these organizations, AAIM represents department chairs and chiefs; clerkship, residency, and fellowship program directors; division chiefs; and academic and business administrators as well as other faculty and staff in departments of internal medicine and their divisions.
