Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Doctors + Care Team
The Department of Physical Medicine (Physiatry) at Tufts Medical Center provides highly personalized cared for infants through 18-year-olds who have neurological, neuromuscular or musculoskeletal injuries or disorders. We use mostly non-surgical, and some minimally invasive, methods to treat your child so he or she can enjoy a rich and rewarding life. Every therapy we recommend is based on an individualized care plan we create for your child following an in-depth evaluation.
An expert pediatric physiatry staff
Our entire staff is deeply familiar with complex, disabling disorders, and how they affect children’s physical, educational, social, emotional and recreational development. The Pediatric Physiatry team is led by Harry C. Webster, MD, FAAP, Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, who has cared for children with impairments for more than three decades.
Dr. Webster is an expert in spasticity management and in treating limb and gait deficiencies, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy, and he regularly works with children who have communication deficit disorders.
