Abdominal Pain

Abdominal pain ranges from less serious to severe, depending on the cause.  Mild cases of abdominal pain can be explained by anything from constipation to food allergies and stomach flu.  More concerning cases are caused such conditions as appendicitis, obstructed bowels, kidney stones, or ulcers.  If the abdominal pain is less serious, home remedies can be taken, such as taking antacids or sipping water and waiting for the discomfort to pass.  More serious pain may require a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy, ultrasound, or CT scan.  Steps can be taken to avoid cases of abdominal pain, and these are eating smaller meals throughout the day, exercising regularly, drinking plenty of water, and keeping to a healthy diet.
