Led by Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services, Terry Hudson-Jinks, the department boasts a wide variety of highly skilled nurses who have been trained to work in different specialties, including adult medicine, pediatrics, critical care, surgery and more. During Nurses Week each year, Tufts MC and Tufts Medical Center honors excellence in nursing with an awards ceremony and reception. Nurses are nominated by their peers, leadership and patients, with a committee choosing the recipients. Chief Nursing Officer
Chief Experience Officer, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services
Terry has spent her entire career serving the patients, families and community of Tufts Medical Center and in 2018, served as interim co-president and CEO. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, she is driven to execute the vision of providing excellence in patient and family care, clinical knowledge, development and innovation in practices. Together with executives and clinical leaders, she collaborates in the design, and evaluation of patient care and services. She has clinical and operational oversight over Nursing Services, key departments within Patient Care Services and as the Chief Experience Officer, is accountable for driving patient and family focused care.
Terry received her BSN in Nursing and a B.S. in Biology from Simmons College, and a Masters in Nursing Administration from Salem State College. Currently, she is a candidate within the Executive Leadership Doctorate Nursing Practice Program at Duke University.
Judi oversees nursing research, evidence-based practice, nursing quality and innovation. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Nursing Practice at Simmons University and has a dual appointment at Tufts University as an Adjunct Associate Professor at School of Medicine and the School of Public Health, supporting interprofessional initiatives and education.
Judi obtained her PhD in Health Professions at Simmons University, Boston, MA. She has a certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies, certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Healthcare and certified as a critical care nurse. She serves as a commissioner on the Board of Commission for the American Association Credentialing Center, Nursing Continuous Professional Development. She previously served on the National Nursing Advisory Board for Becton Dickinson, the Organization of Nurse Leaders MA, CT, NH, RI, VT, the Massachusetts Action Coalition Campaign for the Future of Nursing, and the Nurse of the Future Core Competencies Committee. She is the past president for Sigma Theta Tau, Theta at Large Chapter and the past-president of the Massachusetts "Boston" Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
She has conducted research within simulation, in the effects of Bisphenol A exposure in neonates, pain management in neonates, nurse intensity of care and communications, root cause analysis curriculum implementation in an undergraduate nursing program and hospital-based system. She has publications within the Academies Pediatrics, PLOS One, Journal of Maternal-Child Nursing, The Journal of Pediatrics and The Journal of Burn Care and Research.
Kristen earned her Master's in Nursing Administration from Chamberlain University. She is an executive nursing leader with more than 20 years of experience in the acute care setting with extensive knowledge of the procedural and perioperative patient care areas, central processing, quality and patient safety, and regulatory compliance. She provides executive leadership and oversight of the department's clinical operational performance and is actively involved in hospital and system project management, incident command and emergency management.
Diane obtained a Master's in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Boston as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has more than 15 years of progressive nursing leadership experience and has held many roles during her 25 years at Tufts Medical Center serving our patients and families. Diane specializes in the recruitment and retention of high performing teams, the building of collaborative interprofessional relationships, and the achievement of high-quality outcomes in areas of care delivery, staff engagement, and patient satisfaction. Diane is passionate about fostering a culture of patient safety and together with interprofessional teams, she has supported the growth of Critical Care and the Cardiovascular Center.
Linda Potts has been a nurse for 39 years and a Tufts Medical Center Nurse for more than 30 years. She came to Tufts Medical Center as part of the team of nurses who opened the Maternal Child Department in 1992. Her passion for patient care involved initiating the perinatal palliative care program and the bereavement program for Maternal Child. After graduating from Walden University with an MSN in Nursing Informatics, Linda became the Professional Development Director for Perinatal Services. She is Board Certified in Nursing Informatics and Inpatient Obstetrics and has been active with the ethics committee for more than seven years. Linda moved to the position of Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Clinical Informatics more than four years ago and most recently was the Nurse Champion for Tufts Medicine's Epic implementation project.
Julie has been a nurse and leader at Tufts Medical Center since 1990. She earned her Master’s in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Her interests are Lean Methodology in Healthcare, improving patient experience, advancing nurse leaders and staff engagement.
Heidi Waitkus, MBA, RN
Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Ambulatory and Patient Care Service
Heidi joined Tufts Medical Center in 2010. Her nursing leadership responsibilities spans across all ambulatory services, social services, and interpreter services. She has an extensive background in clinical operations and nursing management, staff development, program planning and project management.
Mary Beth Williams, MN, RN
Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Perinatal, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Nutrition, and Child Life Services
Mary Beth joined Tufts Medical Center in 2010 with extensive clinical and leadership experience in some of the most prestigious academic medical centers in the nation for pediatric nursing. Areas of focus include patient-focused/family centered care, interdisciplinary care model, shared governance for nursing and child advocacy.
Rhodora Reynado MSN, MBA, MSE, RN
Director, Finance Operations
Rhodora has been a member of the Nurse Executive team at Tufts Medical Center since 2009. She previously held positions at Boston Medical Center and Detroit Medical Center. She is experienced in providing leadership and expertise on finance, staffing and scheduling, data analytics, and information management to Patient Care Services.
Rhodora has developed and managed productivity monitoring systems as well as budget development and monitoring tools. She has received advanced degrees in Business Administration and Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, and her Master of Science In Nursing from Wayne State University.
