Jonathan Davis, MD, is currently conducting cutting-edge research on neonatal abstinence syndrome (babies born with drug addiction) and developing new therapeutics to prevent neonatal lung injury. His research has focused on breathing problems in newborn infants, causes of newborn brain injury, and neonatal drug development.
He is the Vice-Chair of Pediatrics and Chief of the Division of Newborn Medicine at Tufts Medical Center at Tufts Medical Center. He also serves as Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has also served on many federal advisory panels and is currently Chair of the Child Health Oversight Committee at the NIH and the Neonatal Advisory Committee in the Office of Pediatric Therapeutics at FDA. Dr. Davis is board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatrics.
