Connecting physical + emotional health

People often think about staying physically healthy, but our behavioral health plays a part in our overall health. If you aren't feeling quite like yourself or need someone to talk to, we're here to help.

We are experts at diagnosing and treating behavioral health conditions that can disrupt how you think, feel and act. There are a variety of therapies and treatment options that can improve your symptoms and help you function again.

Your doctor may recommend you make an appointment with a psychiatrist if you have symptoms requiring more specialized care.

Get help immediately if you think of harming yourself or not wanting to live. Call 911, call or text the crisis hotline at 988 or go to the closest emergency department.

Conditions

Keeping your mind healthy is just as important as keeping your body healthy. Some people may not discuss their behavioral health struggles as openly as other health conditions, but your doctor is available to help, and they are treatable.

Symptoms of mental illness can often mimic each other and vary from mild to moderate. It may take time to get the correct diagnosis, and you may be diagnosed with one condition or several that overlap. We work closely with you and your doctor to identify and understand your condition.

There are a variety of conditions we treat, such as:

Alzheimer's disease
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
Autism spectrum disorder
Bipolar disorder
Chronic mood and anxiety disorders
Depression
Dissociative disorders
Gender dysphoria disorders
Mild cognitive impairment
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Panic disorder
Personality disorders
Phobias
Post-partum depression
PTSD
Schizophrenia
Substance use disorders

Testing

There's no one-size-fits-all test, and we'll likely recommend more than one assessment to determine the root cause of your symptoms. We also want to rule out any existing or underlying conditions that could cause your symptoms.

We offer medical, imaging and psychological testing to get a complete picture of your health. To diagnose you, we will collect your background and may use a variety of tools, including:

  • Physical exam
  • Blood tests
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Computerized tomography (CT)
  • Psychological evaluations
  • Neuropsychiatric and psychiatric evaluations
  • Interviews

Treatments

Receiving a diagnosis can be a relief for some people, especially if they've been having a tough time managing their emotions, functioning at work and maintaining relationships. Knowing that others have the same condition or disorder can make you feel less lonely or isolated.

For others, coming to terms with their condition can take time. We'll stay with you every step of the way, answer your questions and provide resources to help you understand and manage your condition.

We work closely with you, providing support and comprehensive treatment so you can feel better about yourself and your life. Treatment may focus on or include:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Group psychotherapy
  • Medication
  • Inpatient and outpatient treatment
  • Specialized treatment for mood disorders
  • Other therapeutic options

Some people can manage their behavioral health needs with the help of their primary care doctor, while others may receive better care with a psychiatrist or at a residential program, hospital or rehabilitation center.
