Strength through collaboration

We believe in collaborating with other specialists both within and outside our department. In managing patients, our neurologists often work closely with colleagues in neurosurgery and neuroradiology. As necessary, they also consult with Tufts Medical Center specialists in areas such as Child Psychiatry, Developmental Pediatrics, Genetics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Critical Care Medicine.

How does Tufts Medical Center spirit of collaboration impact the patient experience? Your child will receive care from a team of experts who are well-equipped to manage his or her particular neurologic problem. And it all takes place in an intimate environment that you might not expect at a major academic medical center.

Also, we appreciate the bond that many kids have with their primary care physician. So whenever possible, we try to treat your child's condition and then partner with your local doctor for ongoing care.

Clinicians, educators, scholars & scientists

The Neurology Division's physician team represents a broad spectrum of medical expertise. In addition to clinicians focusing on patient care, we have clinicians who also are educators and scholars as well as translational or clinical trial scientists.

All of our doctors maintain an ongoing dialogue with one another, helping ensure your child gets access to the most advanced, promising therapies available today.

Nurturing future leaders in neurology

Teaching and training are essential components of our work. Our division offers medical student clerkships, a child neurology fellowship training program and post-graduate opportunities for pediatric, neurology and psychiatry residents.
