Overview

Tufts Medical Center’s Department of Speech Language Pathology offers comprehensive and personalized care for newborns, infants and children with speech, hearing and language issues. Our team is state and nationally certified, and our department has nearly 50 years of experience caring for patients.

As a teaching hospital, we also offer up-to-the-minute education and training for current and future medical professionals.

Audiology

The Department of Audiology works with infants, children and adults to provide the highest quality of individualized care to those experiencing hearing difficulties and to provide a better quality of life.  Our team has a wealth of knowledge with our staff having a combined experience of over 80 years.  Many of our audiologists hold Doctor of Audiology degrees and all are certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and are state licensed.

We treat a full range of hearing and balance disorders for all age groups.  We specialize in patients who are difficult to test or those that present with challenging medical histories.  Our clinicians work closely with the Department of Otolaryngology providing hearing assessments and medical management as well as with other disciplines within Tufts Medical Center and the Tufts Medical Center.

As a teaching hospital, we provide educational training to our residents, utilize state-of-the- art equipment and employ evidenced-based practices.  Our staff is able to accommodate multiple cultural backgrounds and languages.
