Kidney Function Evaluation

Knowing how well your kidneys work is the key to diagnosing problems early, preventing kidney disease and protecting your health. Your doctor may want to test your kidneys if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease.

Are your kidneys doing their job?

We use comprehensive testing and assessments to measure kidney function. The only way to know if your kidneys are healthy is to get evaluated. This is especially important because kidney disease often has no signs or symptoms, and early detection can help slow it and prevent complications.

Conditions

Kidney function evaluations are extremely helpful, especially if you are at a higher risk. If kidney disease or a risk of developing kidney disease is found we'll determine if it's acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term). Your risk for kidney disease may increase if you have any of these risk factors:

Testing

Finding and treating kidney disease early is the best way to prevent health problems. Your doctor may recommend one or more tests to check your kidney health.

We use cutting-edge research to gauge how well the kidneys filter fluids and remove waste. We use several blood and urine tests to produce a precise measurement of kidney function. These measurements help your physician pinpoint your diagnosis and develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

We may also check your blood pressure and do lab tests to measure the amount of protein in your urine, one of the earliest signs of kidney disease.
